Merlot/Franc 2014

In the corner of the cellar
There is a dark and brooding beast
Who is dreaming while it slumbers
Of primal cuts of meat

His heavy breath is laden with the scent of dark ripe berries,
Tea leaf, spice, and sweetness of juicy plums and cherries
His teeth are fine and many
His tail is long and curled

Tannins, middle, finish
Prepare to be unfurled
How to tame a monster?
We will trap it in a bottle!

Lead it through the tiny neck
And fix it with a stopper
Hold it there for penitence
Observe it in its reticence
Then release it tame

Give it a name ...

Then we'll take it out for dinner
And feed our friends to it!
