Terroir Wines BDX 2011

Terroir Wines

Our BDX 2011 is an exciting assemblage of Cabernet sauvignon, Cabernet franc & Merlot in equal thirds. The grapes were sourced from old vines planted near the heart of Martinborough, formally Benfield & Delamare. Each variety was fermented separately and aged in a mix of Hungarian and French oak barriques for 18 months prior to blending and bottling.

BDX 2011 is dark & intensely aromatic with a volume of ripe fine tannin that will aid the wine to evolve in the cellar drinking well through to 2025 and possibly beyond.

A very limited production of 800 bottles.

"An equal blend of CS, CF and Merlot. Aged for 18 months in Hungarian and French barriques. The wine derives aroma from Cabernet Franc, structure from Cabernet Sauvignon and rich, berry and plum fruitiness from Merlot. Elegant, powerful red with good cellaring potential."
